What the Pixus video editor can do
Timeline editing
Trim, split, ripple delete, and nudge clips on multi-track timelines.
Multi-track
Video, overlay, and audio tracks with per-track lock, mute, and visibility.
Transitions
Crossfades, wipes, slides, zooms, blur, radial and cube transitions.
Text overlays
Animated titles with typewriter, letter drops, fades, and more.
Shapes & graphics
Add rectangles, circles, stars, hearts, arrows, and lines over video.
Audio
Fades, volume per track, and precise timing built in.
Speed & keyframes
Change clip speed, pan/zoom (Ken Burns), and keyframe animations.
Local & private
Your footage never leaves your device. Export MP4 with audio.
How to edit a video in Pixus
The whole workflow runs in one tab, and no step uploads your footage anywhere.
- 1
Create a video project
Choose the Video Timeline preset (1920×1080, 16:9) or start a custom canvas. Pixus creates the project locally and opens the timeline editor.
- 2
Add your media
Drop in MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI, MP3, WAV, AAC, PNG, JPG or WebP files. They are read from your disk into the browser and never sent to a server, so nothing is uploaded and there is no file-size limit imposed by us.
- 3
Arrange clips on the timeline
Drag clips onto video, overlay or audio tracks, then trim the in and out points, split at the playhead, or ripple-delete to close gaps. Per-track lock, mute and visibility keep complex timelines manageable.
- 4
Add transitions and effects
Drop crossfades, wipes, slides, zooms, blur, radial and cube transitions between adjacent clips, and apply colour filters to individual clips.
- 5
Layer text, shapes and graphics
Add titles, captions, lower thirds, shapes and images over your footage. Text can animate in and out, and every element is positioned on the same canvas the design editor uses.
- 6
Animate with keyframes
Keyframe position, scale, rotation and opacity over time to build motion without a separate animation tool.
- 7
Export as MP4
Render the timeline to an MP4 file with audio, directly in the browser. The finished file is saved to your device — nothing is uploaded for rendering.
Supported formats and how your footage stays private
Pixus decodes your media with the browser's own codecs, which is why format support follows your browser rather than a server-side converter. Chrome, Edge and Safari handle MP4 (H.264) and WebM natively; Firefox handles WebM and, on most platforms, MP4 as well.
Because decoding, previewing and rendering all happen on your machine, your footage is never transmitted, stored or processed by UTHAKKAN. That also means video export speed depends on your device rather than on your connection — a laptop can render a short clip offline, on a plane, with no network at all.
Export offers more than one target: MP4 (H.264) when your browser can record it, WebM as the universal fallback, and a PNG frame or PNG sequence when you need stills instead of a movie. The PNG options are the reliable choice for importing a Pixus animation into another editor.
