All your creative designs and projects stay on your device with zero server uploads.

1. What Pixus does
Pixus is a client-side design and video editing application. All editing, rendering, export, and project storage happen entirely within your web browser on your device. There is no Pixus account system, and no Pixus server ever receives your work.
2. Data we collect
Pixus does not operate user accounts and does not require personal information. We do not collect, process, or store your designs, uploaded images, or project data on any server. There is no sign-up form, no email capture and no profile to fill in. Because there is no server-side record of you, there is also nothing for us to sell, share or lose.
3. What is stored on your device
Your work is saved locally so it survives a page refresh. Pixus uses two browser storage layers, both of which stay on your machine:
localStorage holds small settings and a mirror of your project list. The keys are pixus:projects:v1, pixus:snapshots:v1, pixus:uploads:v1, pixus:theme, pixus:typePreset, pixus:smartSnapping and pixus:exportScale.
IndexedDB (database pixus_db) is the primary store and holds the full project documents, restore points and uploaded image blobs. It exists so that a large project or a big photo does not hit the 5 MB localStorage ceiling.
Neither layer is transmitted anywhere. You can inspect or erase both at any time from your browser’s developer tools, or by clearing site data for this domain.
4. Images you upload
When you add a photo or a logo, the file is read with the browser’s File API and kept in memory or in IndexedDB on your device. It is never sent to a Pixus server. This also means your uploads do not sync between browsers or devices — a project opened in a different browser starts without them.
5. Cookies and advertising (Google AdSense & third parties)
Pixus itself does not set tracking cookies or store personal identification data on servers. To keep Pixus free and accessible to everyone without subscription fees or paywalls, we may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense.

In accordance with Google AdSense policies and privacy regulations:
• Third-party cookies: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Personalized advertising: Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to Pixus and/or other sites across the Internet.
• Interactive consent controls: You can review or modify your cookie choices at any time by clicking below:
• Browser controls: You can configure your browser to reject or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
6. Third-party requests
A few resources are loaded from third-party CDNs, which means those providers will see your IP address and user-agent as part of serving the file — the same thing that happens on any website:
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) serves the display typefaces used by some templates. Only the font files are requested; no project data is included.
Unsplash (images.unsplash.com) hosts the stock photography that ships with certain templates. Your browser fetches those images directly from Unsplash’s CDN. If you would rather avoid this, replace the photo with your own upload before you export — the image is only downloaded when a template that uses it is opened.
Aside from these, Pixus makes no outbound requests. Exporting a file, saving a project and rendering a video are all done locally.
7. Export
When you export a file (PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF, MP4, HTML or .pxs), the file is generated locally in your browser and downloaded to your device. It is never uploaded anywhere.
8. How to delete everything
There is no account to close and no deletion request to file. To remove every trace of your Pixus data, delete your projects from the Projects list inside the app, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings — that erases localStorage and IndexedDB together. Because nothing was ever uploaded, nothing remains on our side afterwards.
9. Children's privacy
Pixus is a general-purpose design tool and is not directed at children. We knowingly collect no personal information from anyone, including children, so there is no children’s data for us to hold or delete.
10. Security
We cannot lose, leak or breach data we never receive. The practical risk sits with your own device: anyone with access to your browser profile can open your Pixus projects. Treat a shared or public computer the way you would treat any machine holding your unfinished work, and export anything important to a file you control.
11. Data retention
Pixus retains no data on its servers because it has no servers that store user data. Your designs, images, and projects exist only in your browser’s local storage (localStorage and IndexedDB). This data persists until you delete it — either from within the app or by clearing site data in your browser settings. When you clear your browser data, all Pixus data is permanently removed with no possibility of recovery from our side, because we never had a copy.
12. International data transfers
Pixus is hosted on Cloudflare’s global CDN. When you load the Pixus website, your browser connects to the nearest Cloudflare edge server, which may be in a country different from your own. This is standard for any website using a CDN. However, no design data, project files, or personal information is transmitted to or stored on Cloudflare or any other server — all editing and storage happens locally in your browser. The only data transferred is the website code itself (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), which contains no personal information.
13. Your rights
Under GDPR (EU/EEA), CCPA (California), and similar privacy laws, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Because Pixus collects no personal data, these rights are satisfied by the fact that all your data already resides entirely on your device under your control. You can export, copy, or delete your data at any time without contacting us.
14. Supervisory authority
If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. For EU/EEA residents, a list of supervisory authorities is available at edpb.europa.eu. For UK residents, the authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). However, because Pixus processes no personal data, there is no processing activity to complain about.
15. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in the future, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. Because Pixus processes no personal data, changes are unlikely to affect you. We do not send notification emails for policy updates because we have no email addresses to send them to.
