Terms of Service
Simple, fair terms for a free tool that runs entirely in your browser.

1. Acceptance of terms
By using Pixus, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Pixus is provided as a free, client-side application, and your use of it is governed by the terms on this page.
2. Eligibility
Pixus is a general-purpose design tool intended for general audiences. If you are below the age at which you can enter into a binding agreement in your country, use Pixus only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
3. Licence to use Pixus
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use Pixus for any lawful purpose, including commercial work. You may not resell, rebrand or redistribute Pixus itself as your own product, attempt to extract or repackage its template library as a competing service, or interfere with the application in a way that degrades it for others.
4. Your content
You retain full ownership of the designs, images, and projects you create with Pixus. Because everything runs locally, Pixus does not host, store, or transmit your content, and we claim no licence over it. You are free to use your exports commercially, with one caveat: it is your responsibility to hold the rights to any image, logo or typeface you bring into a project.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Pixus to create or distribute content that violates applicable law or the rights of others — including content that infringes copyright or trademark, impersonates a person or organisation, harasses others, or is fraudulent or deceptive. You are solely responsible for the content you create and for how you distribute it.
6. Third-party content and links
Some templates include photography served by Unsplash and typefaces served by Google Fonts, and the site links out to third-party services such as GitHub, LinkedIn and the UTHAKKAN website. Those resources and sites are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Pixus does not control them and is not responsible for their content or availability. If you plan to use a stock photograph commercially, check the terms of the provider it came from.
7. Brand and trademarks
The Pixus name, its logo and the UTHAKKAN name are the property of their respective owners. Nothing in these terms grants you the right to use them except to refer accurately to the tool itself.
8. Availability and changes to the service
Pixus is offered free of charge and may change at any time. Features can be added, altered or removed, and the service may be unavailable during maintenance or indefinitely. We are not obliged to provide support, updates or a minimum level of availability. Because your projects live in your browser, an interruption to the site does not take your saved work with it — but it does mean you should export anything you cannot afford to lose.
9. No warranty
Pixus is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a render will be pixel-identical across browsers, or that a file will be accepted by a given printer or platform. Export is best-effort, so check your output before you rely on it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pixus and its contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. This includes lost or corrupted projects, lost profits and lost business. You are responsible for backing up your own projects; exporting a .pxs file or a PDF is the simplest way to do that.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pixus and its contributors from any claim or demand — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of content you created with the service or your breach of these terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using Pixus at any time — there is no account to close and no subscription to cancel. Your local data remains in your browser until you choose to delete it. We reserve the right to restrict or block access to Pixus if we detect abuse, but because Pixus is a client-side application with no user accounts, such restrictions would be limited to network-level blocking and would not affect your locally stored projects.
13. DMCA and copyright complaints
Pixus is a tool, not a content host. We do not store, display, or distribute user content on our servers. If you believe that content created with Pixus infringes your copyright, the appropriate remedy is to contact the person who created or distributed that content, not Pixus. If you believe a template bundled with Pixus infringes your copyright, please contact us via the contact page with a detailed description, and we will review the claim promptly.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page with the effective date at the top. Continued use of Pixus after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We do not send notification emails for term changes because we have no email addresses to send them to.
15. Dispute resolution
Any dispute arising from these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution in the courts of Kerala, India, as specified in the governing law section below.
16. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force. Together with the privacy policy, these terms are the entire agreement between you and Pixus regarding use of the service.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Kerala, India.
