DMCA Policy
How to report copyright infringement and how we handle takedown requests.
Effective date: September 11, 2026 · Last updated: September 11, 2026
1. About Pixus and copyright
Pixus is a client-side design and video editing application. All editing, rendering, and export happen entirely in your browser. Pixus does not host, store, or distribute user-created content on its servers. Users retain full ownership of everything they create.
2. Pixus templates and stock content
Pixus ships with built-in templates and stock photography from Unsplash. The templates are original works created by or for UTHAKKAN. Stock photos are provided under the Unsplash License, which permits free use for any purpose. If you believe a bundled template or stock image infringes your copyright, please file a complaint using the process below.
3. Filing a DMCA takedown notice
If you believe that content accessible through the Pixus website infringes your copyright, you may send a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorised agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., a URL).
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
4. Where to send the notice
Send DMCA notices to:
Email: dmca@uthakkan.in
Subject line: DMCA Takedown Request — [Brief description]
We will acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and respond substantively within 10 business days, in accordance with the DMCA.
5. Counter-notification
If your content was removed as a result of a takedown and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and its former location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
- Your contact information and consent to jurisdiction.
Send counter-notifications to the same email address above. We will forward the counter notice to the original complainant and restore the material within 10-14 business days unless a court order is received.
6. Repeat infringers
We reserve the right to terminate access to Pixus for users who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright, in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and applicable law.
7. User responsibility
Because Pixus is a tool and not a content host, you are solely responsible for the content you create and distribute using the application. If you use copyrighted material (images, fonts, logos) in your designs without permission, that is your responsibility — not Pixus's.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this DMCA policy from time to time. The current version always lives on this page. We do not send notification emails for policy changes because we have no email addresses to send them to.
9. Contact
For general questions about this policy, reach out via our contact page or email us directly at dmca@uthakkan.in.
